Information you provide
Story Order does not offer user accounts or comments. When you use the story-order request form, we store the franchise name, selected media type and any optional explanation you submit. The form does not ask for your name or email address. Please do not include personal information in the explanation.
Requests and contact-form messages are used to plan guides, correct errors and respond to rights, accessibility or privacy concerns. Submissions are reviewed for up to 12 months and then deleted or retained only as anonymous editorial notes. Do not include sensitive personal information.
Progress stored on your device
When you mark a title as explored, that selection is saved in your browser's local storage. It is not uploaded to a Story Order account or synchronised across devices. You can remove it by using the Reset button or clearing browser data. Your light or dark theme preference is also stored locally.
Analytics, technical logs and cookies
The hosting service may process short-lived technical logs such as an IP address, browser type, requested URL and timestamp to deliver and secure the site. Story Order uses Google Analytics to understand page visits, navigation, traffic sources and broad device and location information. This helps us learn which guides are useful and improve the site.
Google Analytics may set cookies beginning with _ga and process pseudonymous usage data under Google's privacy terms. You can limit or block these cookies through your browser settings or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Theme and reading-progress preferences are also stored locally on your device.
External links
Guides may link to official sources or third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
Legal basis and your choices
We process submissions because you ask us to review them and because Story Order has a legitimate interest in maintaining accurate, safe guides. Depending on your location, you may ask to access, correct or erase information you submitted, or object to its processing. Use the contact form and choose “Privacy request.” Because the forms do not request an identity, include enough non-sensitive detail for us to locate the submission.
Advertising and affiliate links
No advertising or affiliate programme is currently enabled. If advertising is introduced, this policy will be updated before personalised advertising or advertising cookies are activated. Outbound discovery links are editorial and currently do not earn commission.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated as Story Order adds features or as legal and advertising requirements change. The date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
